Incident Management Workshop

Banner reads: Risk, Incidents and Complaints
Location: National (online)
Date: 5/10/2022

Managing incidents well helps every service provider meet NDIS requirements and safeguard the safety and wellbeing of participants. This 2.5-hour workshop will assist sole, small and medium providers to implement effective incident management systems and will include an introduction to the incident management resources developed by NDS.

The workshop will provide practical examples and include

  • Investigation and analysis of an incident
  • What policies or procedures are needed?
  • Open disclosure
  • Communication with staff, customers, stakeholders and regulators
  • Supporting people after an incident
  • Continuous improvement
  • Identifying problems before they turn into incidents

The workshops are facilitated by Kristie Walker, Director of On Track Investigations. Kristie has extensive experience in critical incident across a number of industries and she believes that best practice incident management and investigations are a key component in helping the sector to continue to grow and thrive and deliver outstanding quality services.

This series of workshops is part of the NDS Risk, Incidents and Complaints Management project for sole, small and medium providers funded by the NDIS Commission. Download the Risk Incidents and Complaints Management interactive PDF for more information and resources.
