Implementing Defensible Documentation for Staff leaders and Quality Teams

This workshop is in partnership with and facilitated by Preventing Harm Initiative (PHI).

This essential course will show you ways to support staff and provide feedback to improve documentation and provide evidence that quality care is being delivered.

Instructor Led Training (ILT) via Zoom or face-to-face at your organisation (travel charged at cost).

Duration: Three hours

Course outcomes:

  • Learn the four things that make documentation defensible and improve outcomes for people receiving services
  • Know how to support staff to use factual, respectful and accurate words in their documentation
  • Discover ways to help staff write clearly and concisely
  • Gain practice in putting these skills into action using case scenarios and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Receive a Quick Reference Guide (QRG) to support ongoing implementation, feedback and auditing
  • Recommended system to assist implementation

This workshop is in partnership with Preventing Harm Initiative (PHI) and facilitated by Donny Raets.

Donny holds a Diploma of Teaching, Cert IV Training and Assessment, Cert IV Aged and Community Care and has 30 plus years’ experience in education, ranging from Primary through to Tertiary (Vocational Education and Training), remote Indigenous Communities and the Corporate sector.

Her CALD background and training in the Arts support her creation and delivery of meaningful learning experiences.

Who should attend?

NDS recommends that Supervisors, Managers, Quality Team staff and Learning and Development staff within disability service organisations are most suited to attend.

Cost

  • Member Price: $2300 plus GST
  • Non-member Price: $3070 plus GST

Additional participants will be charged $65 plus GST per-person price.
