We know that supervision is challenging within disability. Supervision quality is linked to retention, wellbeing, work performance and even attraction. COVID-19 has further highlighted the importance of supervision and the associated challenges. Through this online forum, you will gain further insights into the role of supervisors, what they need to do the job well and practical approaches to support better supervision.

This forum is also an opportunity for providers to share experiences and come away with ideas to foster effective supervision. What has been tried, what is working or not working and explore other approaches which may be used.

You will also hear from researchers about the nature of effective supervision to give you ideas you can explore in your organisation.

Who should attend?

NDS recommends that Human Resource Managers, Team Leaders, Managers within disability service organisations are most suited to attend.
