Managing medications in disability care is complex and challenging.

Although the NDIS standards outline specific outcomes for medication support, they offer minimal direction on practical implementation.

Moreover, much of the disability workforce tasked with medication assistance are unregistered support staff operating without a clear scope of practice and are not covered by relevant legislation and regulations.

Join Elke Smith, a registered pharmacist currently working as the Risk and Quality Assurance Manager at a large, registered NDIS provider for tips and strategies to develop safe and robust medication management systems.

Attendees will have an opportunity for Q and A with the panellist at the end of the session.

Who Should Attend?

Senior Managers, Q and A Managers, Support Workers, and Allied Health Professionals in Queensland.
