Buddy Training: Workshops for disability organisations

This 1.5 hour workshop will guide organisations to provide an excellent induction to new staff and improve the experience of the people they support.

The workshop covers:

  1. Introduction to the NDIS practice standards to understand how this applies to disability support workers
  2. Know key policies, procedures and documentation requirements to guide new staff to meet organisational expectations
  3. Understand scope of practice and role boundaries to protect staff, clients and the organisation
  4. Recommended step by step process for preparing and conducting buddy shifts
  5. Problem solving common scenarios

Who should attend?

Staff who 'buddy' new staff, and experienced staff who could have a role in influencing new or junior staff: Managers, Team Leaders, People and Culture, and Training Staff.
