NDS’s Membership Recognition Awards acknowledge the loyalty, support and contributions of Organisational Members that have reached the milestones of 20, 30, 40 and 50 years of continued NDS membership.

In December 2014, 30 members were recognised for their long-standing partnership with NDS.

50 years of continued membership

• Good Samaritan Industries

For more than 56 years, Good Samaritan Industries (GSI), an agency of the Uniting Church in Australia, has embraced the WA community and harnessed its collective strength to provide support for people with disability – the cornerstone of GSI’s success in delivering valued employment to thousands.

At any one time GSI supports over 800 people in direct employment or in their search for work.

GSI Founder Reverend Ralph Sutton said “when a dream meets a need, nothing can stop its realisation … a dream that has been so rapidly and splendidly fulfilled because as soon as it had begun it ‘rang a bell’ in the hearts of thousands”.
