NSW Behaviour Support Training

NDS received funding for one person from all ADHC funded Disability Service Providers (DSP) and two people from all DSP's with more than 10 group homes to attend the training. The funding covered attendance at the training including morning tea and lunch, reimbursement for travel and accommodation costs, and a sustenance fee where trainees are required to stay overnight to attend the training.

The training was delivered in a "train the trainer" or "facilitative learning" format, providing the attendees with knowledge of the policy document and requiring the attendees to construct and submit a training implementation plan for their organisation.

The training materials and resources were based upon the Behaviour Support: Policy and Practice Manual.
