Regional Forums for CEOs / Senior Managers and Voluntary Board / Management Committee members
NDS has developed a state wide program of regional forums for CEO's / Senior Managers, and Voluntary Board / Management Committee members of all ADHC funded service providers. All session are at no cost to participants.
Sessions will be on the following topics:
- Governance (and legal issues)
- Financial Management (Sessions on pre and post end of financial year)
- Business Planning and Strategy
- Quality and Performance Management
The program of regional sessions is designed to facilitate the ongoing development of participants over the course of the year.
The sessions will be a mix of facilitated general discussion and case study presentations from subject matter experts. They will provide a networking space for Executive Officers / General Managers or Voluntary Board / Management Committee members to discuss any governance related issues, share good practice, and identify areas for systemic development and support for themselves as a key stakeholder group.

The Good Governance Program aims to enhance the governance of small to medium sized non government organisations (NGOs) funded by ADHC, focussing on organisations with an annual turnover of less than $5 million.
In March, NDS and partner peak bodies (NCOSS, NSW MOW, ACS NSW) invited their networks to participate in a confidential survey to profile the learning and development needs of Boards and management committees. The results of that survey are now available. This is the most comprehensive picture of the board development requirements of the DADHC funded service system that currently exists. The results have informed the design of the Good Governance Program.

Tailored and Targeted Consultancy Support - Panel of Subject Matter Experts
NDS has established a panel of subject matter experts to provide tailored and targeted support for boards of ADHC funded organisations with an annual turnover of less than $5m.
The matrix linked below provides a brief summary of the areas of expertise of each consultant, and a link to a profile detailing their experience and skills. Organisations should use the matrix to liaise with consultants to determine their requirements and to agree upon a Board Development Plan.
Eligible organisations will be entitled to utilise one day of professional support in any way that connects to their working good governance agenda, in any way that best suits their timescales (though we are suggesting standard utilisation at either 1 full day, 2 x half day or 3 x short e.g. 2 hour 'in board' sessions).
