NDS launches Call for Papers for State Conference 2013
11 October 2012
NDS is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the NDS NSW Annual State Conference to be held in Sydney on 11-12 February 2013.
From July 2014 every person in receipt of service in NSW will be able to choose an individual and fully portable funding package.
From July 2013 the NSW NDIS launch site will commence in the Hunter Region, providing supports to 10,000 people both known and unknown to the disability service sector.
These milestones herald a complete change to the way services will be funded and delivered into the future. The challenges these changes present are unprecedented.
Through the Industry Development Fund and other initiatives, the capacity of the disability service sector has been strengthened and the sector is well on the way to not only surviving but thriving in a person-centred market.
We've dared you to be different, encouraged you to walk the talk, challenged you to bring it on, and now it's time for action. The stage is set - it's go time!
Invitation to Present
NDS invites abstracts for the NDS NSW Annual State Conference for 2013. We are looking for dynamic, engaging and practical presentations which showcase how the disability sector can and will adapt to change in the following areas:
- Holistic Person Centred Approaches - Examples of how you have implemented systems that place people with disability at the centre of decision making.
- Change Management - Examples of what action you have taken in response to the personalisation agenda.
- Effective Partnerships - Examples of where you are building capacity through innovative collaborations.
The closing date for submissions is strictly 4pm on Friday 9 November, 2012. No abstracts will be considered after this time.
