The Hunter Regional Support Worker Conference will be held at Central Coast Leagues Club, Gosford on 16 - 17 October 2012.
Over 250 frontline workers attended the first two conferences for 2012, held in Ballina and Parramatta. NDS received very positive feedback from delegates, who valued the opportunity to gain additional knowledge and skills in dealing with the range of issues and situations that frontline disability support workers encounter.
The theme of the Regional Support Worker Conference for 2012 is 'Building the Frontline'. The program will feature sessions on ethical dilemmas, complaints handling, challenging behaviours and person-centred service delivery. An updated conference program [PDF 228KB], [RTF 700KB] is now available, along with session detail [PDF 110KB], [RTF 70KB] and dinner flyer [PDF 350KB].
