The long period of reform for disability employment is intensifying as the federal government considers its response to the Disability Royal Commission’s recommendations.

NDS recently supported a delegation to Parliament House in Canberra by providers of employment supports and supported employees. The delegation talked to MPs and senior DSS staff about the proposed changes to supported employment by the Royal Commission.

We were reassured by the level of understanding within government on the role and value of supported employment and the jobs the sector provides to those with significant disability.
