This workshop is a part of the NDS Risk, Incidents and Complaints Management (RICM) Skilling the Sector project supporting individual, small and medium disability service providers.

It is a new workshop on Effective Complaints Handling, co-designed and presented by people with disability.

A small team of presenters will share resources, knowledge and lived experience of:

  • Good practice complaints handling
  • What makes it safe to complain?
  • How to improve your complaints management
  • How providers can respond to DRC observations about complaints
  • Resources you can use for staff training and to support your complaints handling system

The workshop development has been led by Leanda Symes. Leanda is a consultant with 35 years’ experience in the disability sector as an employment service provider, auditor and trainer.

Leanda is passionate about developing the capacity of individuals with disability and organisations to achieve better outcomes for themselves and their communities. Leanda will also support the team in the workshop delivery.

Please note: This meeting will not be recorded and will have a maximum capacity of 300 attendees.

Additional resources are available at the  RICM Hub.
