Accessibility
The National Disability Services' website has been built to World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) WCAG 1.0 Priority 3 standard wherever possible.
Both in-page text and the website style sheets have been coded to facilitate browser-based accessibility features such as font enlargement, zoom and Windows accessibility features.
The website has been constructed such that users may access all links and form fields without the use of a mouse; in other words they will be able to browse the site using only the keys of a standard PC or Apple Mac keyboard.
Web pages have been designed with a focus on usability and required user pathways. In particular, all primary navigation will be presented at the beginning of the page. It will also be repeated at the bottom of the page.
NDS understands that the information migrated from the old site may not meet this accessibility standard but all new additions will. NDS will continue to work to improve the accessibility.
